The Eastland Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to take part in our 40th Annual Old Rip Parade on October 2nd at 10:00am on the Main Street of Eastland. Last year’s Old Rip Parade had about 70 participants, we are optimistic that with the help of our local community and beyond that our parade will continue to grow! RipFest, which is the festival following the Old Rip Parade, is meant to help drive tourism to Eastland and help further educate non-locals about our fascinating history.
RipFest activities include:
•Old Rip Pageant: Lumberyard Event Center, September 4th at 10am
•Old Rip 5K & Kid’s Fun Run - Eastland Meals on Wheels: Seibert Elementary School, 8am
•Old Rip Parade: Main Street, 10am
•Bryan’s Car Show & Tell - Solid Rock Camps: Intersection of Commerce & Mulberry Street, 11am
•Live music and other entertainment throughout the day.
•Booths with food, crafts, antiques, art, Old Rip merchandise, clothing, and other items of interest.
•Kid's Carnival: Thursday - Saturday Night, First Baptist Church Parking Lot on Olive Street
We invite you to be a part of this fast-growing annual event by joining us in this year’s parade. The Eastland County community has always enjoyed the excitement that our local first responders, businesses, non-profits, and organizations bring to the Old Rip Parade.
